The general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, and president Hu Jintao, met Premier of North Korea, Kim Yong-il at the Great Hall of the People on the afternoon of 19th.
　　President Hu remarked that Chinese communist party and government, together with North Korea, have paid particular attention to the relationship between China and North Korea. We are willing to promote the traditional friendship, strengthen the amicable contact, deepen the strategic communication and push the practical cooperation and establish amicable neighborhood cooperatively for the wonderful future, based on the spirit of “observing tradition, confronting the future by good relationships with neighborhood and strengthen amicable contact” in the 60th anniversary of their establishment of a diplomatic relationship between China and North Korea and “Amicable Year” for the two.
　　Kim Yong-il said that the Korean people are glad to see the great achievement that the Chinese people have made in the economic growth and social development. In recent years, the cooperation in every field has been going on smoothly with the special concern of the leaders of the two countries in person and the traditional amicable cooperation has been developed continuously, thanks to the undeviating policy of the Korean party and the government. The North Korea will persistently make every effort to consolidate the amicable cooperation between China and North Korea.

　　金英日说，朝鲜人民为中国人民在经济建设和社会发展方面取得的巨大成就感到由衷高兴。近年来，在两国领导人的亲自关心下，各领域合作发展良好。不断发展朝中传统友好合作关系，让两国传统友谊代代相传是朝鲜党和政府坚定不移的方针，朝方将一如既往地为巩固发展朝中友好合作关系作出不懈努力。
